Mission
We welcome, advocate, and educate in the service of new, recent, and established immigrants.
Our Core Beliefs
Immigrants strengthen the United States by bringing skills, talents, new energy, and economic growth to our communities.
Immigrants are worthy individuals deserving of respect.
Mutual exchange and partnership between immigrants and established citizens lead to a healthy, happy community that supports human dignity and respect for all.
Immigration is a complex, nuanced, often difficult process; for both immigrants and established citizens, education is key to making this process as positive and beneficial as possible.
Recent immigrants especially are often refugees fleeing from horrific circumstances. As fellow humans, we are called to support our brothers and sisters in the face of severe injustice and grave danger.
Goals
Increase community members’ respect for and understanding of
The circumstances that cause immigrants to leave their homelands.
The challenges of immigrating to a new land and culture.

Openness toward and acceptance of immigrants.
Understanding of the community enrichment brought about through immigrants’ culture and contributions.
Understanding of history and current events related to immigration.
Support and advocate for legislation that improves the immigration process and that supports the well-being of refugees and immigrants in the United States.
Identify opportunities to serve the emerging needs of the immigrant community on an ongoing basis, in partnership with immigrants themselves.
Improve services to immigrants in the greater La Crosse area through formal program evaluation and other continuous improvement methods.
Investigate, evaluate, and act on partnership opportunities with other service organizations to increase the effectiveness of the Coulee Region Immigration Task Force.
